Edna B. Bard, 93, formerly of Leola, passed away Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Garden Spot Village.  Born in Woodbury, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin K. and Lillian Wren Bundens.  She was the wife of the late William B. Bard who passed away in March of 2009.

Edna had worked with her husband at George Bard Insurance serving as office manager.  She was an active member of Zion Lutheran Church, Leola.  She enjoyed needlework and gardening.  Edna was very generous and compassionate, and her cheerful smile will be missed by many.

She is survived by her brother, Lawrence husband of Audrey Bundens of Swedesboro, NJ, and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her sister, Lillian Seery, and three brothers, Benjamin K., Frank G., and Leroy P. Bundens.

Funeral services will be held from the Zion Lutheran Church 18 Quarry Rd. Leola, PA 17540 on Thursday, January 23, 2014 at 11 AM with interment in Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery. The family will visit with friends from 10:30 to 11 AM at the church on Thursday.  Kindly omit flowers.  Contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church, Leola.
