Virginia W. Kramer Virginia W.
Kramer, 99, formerly of Waxhaw, NC, died of natural causes at Landis Homes,
Lititz, PA on Saturday, May 6, 2017. She was a registered nurse and a veteran
of World War II, serving in Europe. She was married 49 years to Willis Kramer,
deceased in 2002.
Mrs. Kramer served as a missionary with
Wycliffe Bible Translators as part of the Jungle Aviation and Radio Service in
Mexico, Peru, Ecuador and the Philippines, and after returning to the U.S. in
1975, in Huntington Beach, CA, Lancaster, PA, and Waxhaw, NC.
She was the
oldest of five children born to William and Louise Weber of Lafayette, IN.
She is
survived by a brother, Walter, of Lafayette, IN; a sister, Marilyn, of
Sheridan, WY; a daughter, Sara, married to Michael Rooney, Eagle River, AK; and
four grandchildren, Lydia, Rachael, Daniel and Abigail. She was preceded in
death by her husband Willis, by her granddaughter Michelle, and by her
daughter, Nancy Kramer Kautz.
The Memorial
Service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2017 at 2 p.m. at the Landis Homes
Bethany East Chapel, 1001 E. Oregon Road, Lititz. Interment: Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
