Mervin S. Hoober, 85, of New Holland, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on August 30^th, 2017.  Born in New Holland, he was the son of the late Aaron and Esther Snyder Hoober.  He was the loving husband of Ruth Ressler Hoober and shared 65 years of marriage.  He will also be lovingly missed by: his children, Barbara (Clair) Denlinger, Bonita (Ronald) Stoltzfus, Tim (Jul) Hoober, Andrea (Garth) Good, Alissa (Craig) Regitz; 16 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; a sister, Doris (Paul) Snader; sister-in-law, Mary Jane Kreider Hoober; and preceded in death by a brother, Aaron Hoober.

      Mervin was a member of Forest Hills Mennonite Church. He was retired from farming and sanitation services.  Mervin especially enjoyed family gatherings, trips with his hunting club friends and family beach vacations. 

     Relatives and Friends are invited to attend a celebration of life service on Tuesday, September 5^th, 2017 at Forest Hills Mennonite Church, 100 Quarry Rd., Leola at 11:30 a.m.   A visitation with the family will be held prior to the service between 10:30-11:30 a.m.    Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family. There will be no viewing. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mervin's memory may be made to Hospice & Community Care, PO Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604, or Mennonite Disaster Services (MDS), 583 Airport Road, Lititz, PA 17543.
