David S. Smucker, 82, of 2110 Rockvale Road, Lancaster, entered into rest after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Jan. 22, 2019 at home. He was the husband of Rebecca L. Stoltzfus Smucker who died in 2016. He was the son of the late Benuel S. and Sadie Stoltzfus Smucker. A member of the Old Order Amish Church, David owned and operated the Smucker Welding Shop till he retired.
He is survived by: two sons, David S. Jr. married to Sylvia Esh Smucker of Lancaster, Steven S. married to Kathryn Smucker Smucker of Lancaster; twelve grandchildren, Steven (Kathryn), Mervin (Elizabeth), Jesse (Amanda), Esther (Mike), Fannie Mae (Isaac), Leon, Ivan, Michael, Mark, Anna Marie, Jonathan, Elizabeth; seven great-grandchildren; three brothers, Henry married to Susie Smucker, Paul married to Rachel Smucker, Ben married to Barbara Smucker, all of Lancaster; two sisters, Rachel married to the late Elam King of Strasburg, Esther married to Dan Beiler of Lancaster; brother-in-law, Jacob King of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by: three daughters, Esther, Mary Ann and Sadie Smucker; brother, Elmer Smucker; sister, Rebecca King.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, January 24, 2019, at 12:00 pm Noon at the late home with viewing there till the service. Kindly omit flowers. Burial will take place in the Beiler’s Cemetery, Ronks.
