Ruth B. Fisher, 88, of Elverson, formerly of New Holland, went to be with her savior Jesus Christ on September 24, 2023. She was the daughter of the late William and Kathryn (Pollock) O’Donnell. She was the loving wife of Andrew B. Fisher who died in 2017.
Ruth and her husband owned and operated the A & R Fisher Bakery in New Holland. Later she worked as a baker for Weis Market.
She was a member of Twin Valley Bible Chapel. An avid baker, she enjoyed quilting, reading, puzzles and game nights with friends.
She will be lovingly missed by: three sons, Terry married to Susan Fisher of Elverson, Andrew Jr. married to Linda Fisher of Denver, David W. Fisher of Nogales, AZ; daughter, Kathryn married to Gary Matthias of Cedar Falls, IA; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; step-brothers, William and Frank O’Donnell; two step-sisters, Sarah O’Donnell, Evelyn Miley.
She was also preceded in death by: a daughter, Evelyn Fisher; brother, Robert O’Donnell; step-sister, Nancy Johnson.
Funeral Services: 10:00 am, Saturday, Sept. 30, 2023 at the Twin Valley Bible Chapel, 105 Shirktown Rd. and Rt. 23, Narvon with viewing from 9:00 am – 10:00 am. Burial will take place in Conestoga Memorial Park, Lancaster at 1:45 pm.
