William M. VanAtter, 87, of East Earl, PA formerly of Glenolden, went home to be with the Lord on Jan. 29, 2025. Born in Darby, PA, he was the son of the late Melvin and Regina Fricker VanAtter. He was the loving husband of Margaret “Scottie” H. Neil VanAtter with whom he celebrated 58 years of marriage.
Mr. VanAtter was a helicopter mechanic for 38 years retiring from the Boeing Co., Ridley Park. He was a Catholic; St. George Catholic Church, Glenolden. He enjoyed antique trains; antiquing; photography; and fishing.
In addition to his wife, he will be lovingly missed by: a son, Mark married to Maryellen (Abbate) VanAtter, Turnersville, NJ; six grandchildren, Nicole, Tyler, Maryellen, Zachary, Tiffany, David Jr.; several great-grandchildren; a brother, David married to Sally VanAtter, Aston, PA; Mark’s sister, Joanne married to Michael Viscusi, Landisville, NJ whom he treated like a daughter; sister-in-law, Patricia VanAtter, Cedar Brook, NJ. He loved his dog, Maggie Ann.
He was preceded in death by: two sons, William and David VanAtter; a sister, Mary Jean Keller.
A Memorial Service will be announced at a later date.
