Carolyn W. Weaver, 91, of Fairmount Homes, formerly of Lancaster, passed away July 6, 2025. Born in East Earl Twp., she was the daughter of the late Bartram and Ruth (Weber) Leaman. She was married to Ralph E. Weaver for 71 years prior to his passing in 2024.
Carolyn retired from food service at Lancaster Mennonite School. In retirement years, she and Ralph volunteered at the MCC Material Resources Ctr. Ephrata. They were members of Mellinger Mennonite Church, Lancaster. Her hobbies included: traveling, bird watching, flower arranging, watercolor painting, playing Scrabble, and most of all, singing.
Surviving are: four sons and two daughters, Jay (Joyce) Weaver, Lancaster, Sharon (Kevin) Hostetter, Marlin (Lesetta) Weaver, both Lititz, Mark Weaver, Lancaster, Ken (Linda) Weaver, Inola, OK, Carol (David) Fedorshak, Ephrata; nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Wilmer (Marie) Leaman, Irvin (Edith) Leaman, Ruth Ann (late Alfred) Stauffer, Kenneth (Velma) Leaman. She was the “mother” of 3 youths: Christine Wenger, Dennis Good, and Michael McCarthy. She was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Luke Weaver.
The Celebration of Life Service will take place on Saturday, July 12, 2025 at 11 a.m. at Mellinger Mennonite Church, 1916 Lincoln Hwy E, Lancaster. The family will greet friends one hour before the service. Private Interment: Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
