Sidney Lamarr Wenger, 82, of Leola, PA, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2025, after a brief illness. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Ira F. Wenger and Jane L. (Roberts) Kiick. Sidney was a lifelong resident of Lancaster County. He graduated from Conestoga Valley High School and enlisted in the U.S. Navy, where he was stationed in San Diego, CA. After completing his military service, he attended Franklin & Marshall College. Sidney began his career at RCA and later retired from Burle Industries.
He is survived by his devoted wife of 64 years, Judith Haigh Wenger; three sons: Dennis (Shaunda) of Logan, UT, Todd of Lancaster, PA, and Brett (Janet) of Brownstown, PA; six grandchildren; one brother; and two sisters.
A passionate supporter of youth sports, Sidney coached Little League baseball and was a constant presence at his sons’ sporting events—whether football, wrestling, basketball, or baseball.
Friends and relatives are invited to join the family at the Celebration of Life drop-in between 4:00 PM & 6:00 PM, Monday, September 22, 2025 at Vigi’s, 232 W. Main St., Leola. Interment will be private in Carpenter’s Cemetery, Talmage. Memorial contributions are welcomed to: Heartland Hospice, 3417 Concord Rd., C, York, PA 17402.
Sidney will be remembered for his unwavering love for family, his service to country and community, and the joy he found in cheering on his children and grandchildren.
