Samuel S. Smoker, 84, of 3343 Old Philadelphia Pike, Ronks, entered into rest on Sunday, September 21, 2025 at his home. Born in Ronks, he was the son of the late John E. and Rachel Stoltzfus Smoker. He was the husband of the late Rachel S. Lapp Smoker who died in 2020. A retired farmer, Samuel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving are: 13 children, Anna married to Stephen King, Greens Fork, IN, Omar married to Miriam Rose King Smoker, Christiana, Benuel married to Lanita Petersheim Smoker, Gordonville, Barbara married to Daniel Stoltzfus, Parkesburg, Linda married to Jonas King, New Holland, John married to Barbara Ann Esh Smoker, Ronks, Rachel married to Abram Stoltzfus, Gap, Esther married to Mervin Beiler, New Holland, Samuel Jr., married to Anna Mary Stoltzfus Smoker, Leola, Sadie married to Elam Stoltzfus, Gap, Mary married to Elmer Stoltzfus, New Holland, Naomi Smoker, at home, Steven married to Kathryn Dienner Smoker, Gap; 69 grandchildren; 62 great-grandchildren; 3 siblings, Malinda married to Alvin Beiler, Barbara Stoltzfus, Omar married to Esther Smoker; brother-in-law, Sam married to Dottie Beiler; sister-in-law, Elsie Smoker.
She was preceded in death by: a brother, John Smoker; sister, Sarah Beiler; and grandchildren, Samuel, Montana, Rebekah and Emily.
Funeral services will be held from the residence at 3321 Old Philadelphia Pike, Ronks on Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2025 at 1 pm EDT with interment following in Gordonville Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
