Malinda L. Fisher, 85, of Blue Ball, developed Alzheimer’s disease and died peacefully Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at The Gardens at Stevens, 400 Lancaster Avenue, Stevens. She was born in Leacock Township, daughter of the late Mary B. Lapp and the late David Z. Esh of Gordonville. She was married on November 17, 1960 to Daniel E. Fisher and was a member of Grace Family Church, New Holland.
Surviving are 4 children: Jacob L. Fisher, Germantown; Lillian E. Fisher, New York; John E. Fisher, Gothenburg, Sweden; and David M. Fisher Willow Street, husband of Dorothy Joann Frey; grandsons, Jonas D. Fisher and Marlon J. Fisher, Gothenburg; Julian Blue Frey Fisher, Willow Street; 5 brothers: Jacob K. Esh (m Eva R. Miller) of Madisonburg; Ammon L. Esh (m Rachel L. Stoltzfus) of Gratz; David Z. Esh, Jr. (m Naomi J. Beiler) of Gordonville; Emanuel L. Esh (m Rebecca K. Fisher) of Quarryville; and Stephen L. Esh (m Ada B. King) of Aaronsburg; 4 sisters, Emma Mae, (m Reuben E. Fisher), Spring Mills; Mary B., (m Moses B. Zook), New Holland; Elizabeth L., (m John S. Esh), Ronks; Nancy L., (m Eli S. King), Lancaster; 5 sisters-in-law, Rebecca Stoltzfus Keim, (widow of Daniel K. Esh), Bird-in-Hand; Malinda K. Stoltzfus Esh, (widow of Jesse L. Esh), Churchtown; Susie S. Esh, (widow of John F. Esh), Georgetown; Barbara E. King Fisher, (widow of Elam E. Fisher), Gordonville; Malinda E. Stoltzfus King (m David S. King), (widow of Daniel S. Stoltzfus) Gordonville; a brother-in-law, Amos M. Fisher (m Lydia A. King), Loysville; and dozens of nieces and nephews.
Malinda was predeceased by her husband, Daniel E., her daughter Mary E.; 3 siblings, Jesse L. Esh, Daniel K. Esh, John F. Esh; a sister-in-law. Arie E. Fisher Stoltzfus; 5 brothers-in-law, David E., Christian L., Jonas E., Elam E., Moses E and Phares Z. Stoltzfus.
A service will be held at Grace Family Church, 415 S. Kinzer Ave., New Holland on Friday, October 31, 2025; Viewing: 10:00 AM, Service: 11:00 AM, Lunch: 12:00-2:00 PM. Following the meal, about 2:45 – 3:00 pm, Malinda will be buried at the Beiler Family Cemetery, 11-99 Lynwood Road, Ronks.
