M. Elaine Ressler, 88, formerly of Mountville, passed away August 22, 2025 at the home of her son, Douglas Green, in Fredericksburg, VA. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late John Lyte and Mary Swope Kreider. She was the wife of the late Robert J. Ressler who died in 2005.
Elaine was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Leola, where she was active in numerous ministries.
Surviving are: 2 sons, R. Douglas (Michele) Green, Fredericksburg, VA, Matthew Shawn Green; 4 grandchildren, Matt, Benny, Alice, and Kali Green; 2 great-grandchildren, Gregor and Gideon Green; a brother, John N. “Ned” Kreider, Lancaster.
A Celebration of Elaine’s Life will be held from Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Quarry Rd., Leola, PA 17540 on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at 11 am. The family will greet friend prior to the service from 10 to 11 am at the church. If desired, contributions may be made to Zion Lutheran Church.
