     Matilda “Tilda” A. Denlinger, 79, of Lancaster, passed away peacefully at home on January 6, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Kenneth E. Denlinger. They were married in 1965. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Amos and Ethel (Miller) Shertzer.

     Tilda had a successful career as bookkeeper for Timeter Instrument Corporation in Lancaster. She was an avid reader, enjoyed fine needle work, and singing in the choir at Calvary Church in Lancaster where she had been a member.

     She will be deeply missed by her two daughters, Donna, married to Steve Mosakowski of Glenview, IL, and Stacy married to Timothy Caldwell of Landisville; a daughter-in-law Denise Denlinger of Lititz; nine grandchildren, Josh, Joel, Erin, Michael, Caleb, Tyler, Nick, Rachel, and Phil; two brothers, Willard (Ann) Shertzer of Lancaster, John (late wife, Henrietta) Shertzer of Lancaster, and sister Wanda (David) Potts of Camp Hill. She was preceded in death by her son, Jeffrey K. Denlinger.

     In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the Alzheimer’s Association (donorservices.alz.org). Private services will be held at the convenience of family.
