William Charles Slothower, 89, of New Holland, Pennsylvania, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on January 2, 2026, at Garden Spot Village.
Born in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, on April 16, 1936, Bill’s lifelong curiosity and love of learning led him to graduate from LeTourneau Technical Institute (now LeTourneau University) with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. That same curiosity shaped a career of more than 40 years designing and selling pumps and valves for CPV Manufacturing, where he was known for his integrity, problem-solving skills, and dedication.
Whether in his workshop or in everyday life, Bill delighted in understanding how things worked. A gifted tinkerer and woodworker, he found joy in creating, repairing, and improving, often for the benefit of others. That hands-on spirit extended beyond his work into a life of service and faith. He had a deep heart for missions, serving faithfully for many years on the boards of InFaith and Tech Team Advantage, and as an Elder at Aldan Union Church.
Family was central to Bill’s life, and he cherished time spent with his wife and children. Together, they shared a love of travel, journeying extensively across the country and proudly visiting all 50 states, each trip adding to a storehouse of memories and stories that reflected his sense of adventure and appreciation for God’s creation.
In 2019, Bill was honored by LeTourneau University as one of its Top 100 Engineers, a recognition that reflected both his professional accomplishments and his lasting impact.
Bill is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara; his three children, Debbie Damon, Tim Slothower (Kelly) and David Slothower (Rebecca) and his eight grandchildren.
He will be remembered for his steady faith, quiet integrity, generous spirit, and enduring love for the Lord and his family.
A private memorial service will be held for the family. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Tech Team Advantage (25 FRJ Drive Longview, TX 75602.
