Robert G. Devlin, 95, of Oak Leaf Manor South, Millersville, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Mar. 4, 2026 at Hospice and Community Care, Mount Joy. He was married to Geraldine (Bealler) Devlin for 75 years. Born in Toledo, Ohio, he was the son of the late William R. and Cecil (Short) Devlin.

The family relocated to Lancaster in 1946 and Bob worked alongside his dad to grow the family’s business ventures. Their company dried sweet corn for Copes; 4DFarms in Compass raised crops and developed portions of the land.

The property in Intercourse housed the manufacturing areas for Pequea Candies, Nuvi-T-Min Conestoga Mineral Water and Hex Sign production. By 1954, expansion of the building allowed for a luncheonette and gift shops. The Hex Barn, along with other small cultural attractions, helped to usher in the tourism business in Intercourse and surrounding areas.

Nothing brought Bob more happiness than having his family gather, and piloting a Piper Cub. Any movie featuring airplanes caught his attention. He enjoyed Talk Radio and Old-Time Radio broadcasts.

He had a love and compassion for all animals. His Saint Bernards, Lady and Wilhelm, and special companion cat, Guy always held a special place in his heart. Bob always was thrilled to have the therapy dogs visit at Oak Leaf Manor.

In addition to his wife, Bob is survived by his children: Robert G. Devlin, Jr., Maryland, Candace Welsh, Lancaster, Colleen (James) Bang, South Carolina and Heather (Philip) Furman, Leola; three grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his sister, Joyce Coleman and son-in-law, Steven Welsh.

Private services will be held at the convenience of the family. His final resting place will be Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery, Leola.  The family would like to thank the staff at Oak Leaf Manor South for the compassionate care extended to Bob.
