     Linda I. Ranck, 86, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026, at Penn Medicine Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late Clarence J. and Marie L. (Caswell) Irvin. She shared 65 years of marriage with her husband, H. Bruce Ranck.

     A graduate of Hempfield High School and Millersville State Teachers College, Linda dedicated more than 40 years to teaching. She began her career in the School District of Lancaster and went on to spend over 35 years teaching first grade at Fritz Elementary in the Conestoga Valley School District. She also served for many years on the Conestoga Valley Recreation Board.

     Linda was an active member of Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, where she faithfully served in a variety of roles, including Church Elder, Deacon, Lay Reader, Librarian, Sunday School teacher, and Cantata Choir member. She enjoyed traveling and, along with Bruce, visited destinations such as Europe, Hawaii, and Canada, as well as taking many bus trips along the East Coast. Linda especially cherished time spent with family on beach vacations in Stone Harbor and Myrtle Beach.

     In addition to her husband, she is survived by her brother, James P. Irvin, husband of Emma; her children, Scott, husband of Elizabeth (Betsy) Ranck of Lancaster, and Jill, wife of Brian Hauck of Lititz; her grandchildren, Jared, husband of Jill Ranck of Freeport, FL, Nathan, husband of Megan Ranck of Lancaster, Kyle Maguire of Austin, TX, and Austin, husband of Haley Maguire of Cinnaminson, NJ; and her great-grandchildren, Micah, Levi, Ellis, and Benson Ranck.

     A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, May 16 at Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers, 2555 Horseshoe Road, Lancaster PA 17601. Visitation will take place beginning at 10:00 AM, with a light luncheon to follow the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be sent in Linda’s memory to Salem Evangelical Reformed Church, Hellers.
