John E. Hoffman, 65, of Witmer, PA, a faithful servant of our Lord and Savior was peacefully called home to heaven on Thursday, May 14, 2026. He was the son of the late John D. and Naomi M. Groff Hoffman. John enjoyed being with friends and family, especially his daughter Jenifer and grandson Kollin. John had a generous soul, loved serving others needs and giving his resources to anyone in need. He was most known for his love of Jesus. He also loved music, Johnny Cash, Steven Curtis Chapman and any sermon by Kenneth Copeland. He was a sports fan. He loved the Dallas Cowboys and his favorite baseball team, the Cincinnati Reds especially the era of the Big Red Machine.
He will be lovingly missed by his daughter, Jenifer married to Christopher Komarow, Leola; a grandson, Kollin Courtney, a granddaughter by marriage, Eliana Komarow; siblings Beverly Ann Adkins, Lancaster, Robert Lee married to Susan Hoffman, Landisville; niece, Hope Adkins Durante; nephew, James Adkins and multiple grand-nephews and a grand-niece. He was preceded in death by a brother, David Brian Hoffman.
He attended the Living Hope Community Church, Lancaster, as well as the Worship Center in Leola.
Funeral Services: 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 27, 2026 at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St, Leola. Viewing: Tuesday, 6-8 pm and Wed. 10-11 am all at Furman’s. Interment: Bareville Cemetery, followed by luncheon for friends and family at 1:30 at the Bareville Fire Hall.
