David Joseph Jones, 63, of Leola, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2026 surrounded by his family. Born in Martinsburg, WV, he was the son of the late David T. and Josephine Cortez Jones. He was married for 39 years to Brenda Lawler Jones. David worked for the U. S. Postal Service in New Holland.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: 3 children, Cassandra married to Shea Galvin, Cinthia Acosta, both of Lancaster, Megan married to Zackory Butt, Lebanon; 3 grandchildren, Matthew, Caleb, and Lilian Butt.
A memorial service will be held at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Friday, July 3, 2026 at 7 PM. The family will greet friends from 6 to 7 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Amedisys Hospice.
