Melvin J. Waldner, age 64, of Lititz, passed away peacefully at home on August 7, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Born in Huron, SD, he was a beloved husband to Margaret (Hofer) Waldner and a devoted father to Elizabeth (Elwayne) Weaver, Newmanstown, Melvin Junior (Kristy) Waldner, Denver, Angela Waldner, Lititz, Wayne Waldner, Denise Waldner and Javan Waldner, all of Ephrata. He was also a cherished grandfather to nine grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Marian Stahl, Larry Waldner, Judith Glanzer, Terry Waldner, John Waldner, Norman Waldner, Sarah Gross, and Elizabeth Waldner. He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph Waldner and Elizabeth (Wurtz) Waldner, and his siblings James Waldner, Dorothy Glanzer, Katherina Waldner and Michael Waldner.
Throughout his life, Melvin was known for his kindness, generosity, humor, and strength. His greatest joy was his family, and he treasured the time they spent together, creating memories that will remain in our hearts forever.
He leaves behind a beautiful legacy of love that will continue through the family he cherished so deeply. Though his absence leaves an emptiness that can never be filled, his memory will live on in every story, every laugh, and every moment we shared together.
The family finds comfort in knowing that he is now at peace and home with his Heavenly Father.

He will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
A service celebrating Melvin’s life will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2026 at the Ephrata Christian Fellowship, 400 W. Main St., Ephrata with viewing there, Tuesday 5:30 – 8:00 pm. and after the service. Interment: Valley View Mennonite Cemetery, Stevens.
