Geraldine B. Devlin, 95, of Oak Leaf Manor South, Millersville, passed away on August 26, 2026. She was born and raised in Lancaster. She was married to Robert G. Devlin for 75 years and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Leola. Mr. Devlin died on Mar. 4, 2026. She was the youngest daughter of Charles and Martha Brown Bealler.
She was a 1949 graduate of J. P. McCaskey High School and worked in the office of Slaymaker Lock Company following graduation.
Gerry worked alongside her husband to grow the family’s business ventures. They moved from Lancaster to the property in Intercourse that housed the manufacturing areas for Pequea Candies, Nuvi-T-Min Conestoga Mineral Water and Hex Sign Production. By 1954, expansion of the building allowed for a luncheonette and gift shops. The Hex Barn, along with other small cultural attractions helped to usher in the tourism business in Intercourse and surrounding areas. She helped found the Intercourse Tourist Information Center in the early 1980’s further promoting the area’s attraction to tourists.
Retiring from the busy tourism industry, she moved to Leola in 1988. Following her retirement, she worked as the dietary director for Magic Years, Hildebrandt Learning Center and Lancaster Generations.
Nothing brought Gerry more happiness than family gatherings. She created many of the handmade crafts sold in the Hex Barn Gift Shop. Along with sewing, she knitted items for her church to distribute so others could keep warm in the winter.
She is survived by her children: Robert G. Devlin, Jr., Maryland, Candace (the late Steven) Welsh, Lancaster, Colleen (James) Bang, South Carolina and Heather (Philip) Furman, Leola; three grandchildren; three step grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two step great- grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by six sisters.

A private service honoring both Robert and Geraldine will be held at a later date at their final resting place in Trumbauer Memorial Cemetery, Leola.
