Roland “Ron” Lee Hock, 84, of Ephrata, PA, went home to be with the Lord on September 6, 2026. Born in Bloomsburg, PA, he was the son of the late Lester and Mildred (Mosteller) Hock. He was preceded in death by his wife of 60 years, Louise Ann (Karshner) Hock.
Ron served in the National Guard, attended Williamsport College, and worked for Magee Carpet, Corning Glass, and Pacer Pump, retiring in 2017. He attended Groffdale Mennonite Church, where he taught men’s Sunday school.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Donna Burns; sister, Louise Norris; and brothers, John and Donald Hock.
Ron is survived by his children, Andrea Hurst (Jeremy), Michael Hock (Michelle), and Joseph Hock; grandchildren, Nathaniel Burns, Ethan Burns, Leah Tshudy, Sarah, Abigail and Owen Hurst, and Jesse, Reese and Wyatt Hock; and great-grandchildren, Aria and Asher Tshudy.
Funeral services will be held Friday, September 18, 2026 at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola PA 17540. The family will greet friends at 2:30 p.m., followed by the service at 3:30 p.m. and interment in the adjoining cemetery. A light dinner will follow.
