Judy E. Flaud, 78, formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Friday, Oct. 23, 2026 at United Zion Retirement Community, Lititz. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Ray W. and Dorothy (Kurtz) Gibson. Judy was the wife of the late Lon David Flaud who died in 1992.
Judy worked as a typesetter at the former Automated Composition in Lancaster. She later went on to work in the records department of the Manheim Township Police Department. Judy was known for being a caretaker and loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed baseball games and going to the beach. She also enjoyed knitting, quilting, and needlepoint.
Judy is survived by her two sons: Lon David Flaud, Jr., of Lancaster, and Michael Allen husband of Annie (Adams) Flaud, Lititz. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Thomas and Richard Gibson.
Private services will be held at the family’s convenience. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to GiGi’s Playhouse, Down Syndrome Achievement Center, Lancaster.
