Ruth B. Sheaffer, 101, of Evergreen Estates formerly of Lincoln Hwy East, Lancaster, went home to be with the Lord, Monday, Oct. 26, 2026. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Abram and Mary Ann Martin Burkhart. She was the loving wife of Paul D. Sheaffer who died in 2010.
A homemaker, Ruth enjoyed gardening, quilting and was an amazing seamstress. Ruth loved the Lord and was a long-time member of Monterey Chapel, Leola.
She will be lovingly missed by: her children, Douglas married to Catherine Sheaffer, Swansboro, NC, Cynthia married to David Lee, Creston, NC, Connie married to Wilfred Gomez, West Chester, PA; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a sister, Martha married to the late Stanley Schultz, Halifax; daughters-in-law, Linda Sheaffer and Sandra Sheaffer, both Lancaster. Two sons, Paul David Sheaffer Jr., and William A. Sheaffer preceded her in death.
The Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am Friday, November 27th at Monterey Chapel, 53 W. Eby Rd., Leola PA 17540. The family will visit with friends an hour before the service. Interment will be private in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
