A. Catherine Lueders, 88, of Leola, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, Apr. 15, 2018. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late William and Anna Catherine Horst Mattern. Mrs. Lueders was the loving wife of Frederick B. Lueders. They observed 61 years of marriage last June. A homemaker, she was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed needlepoint and traveling with her husband.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by: two children, Frederick B. Lueders Jr., at home, Carol Ann Lueders, New Holland; a granddaughter, Catherine Ann Yorgey; siblings, William married to Dorothy Mattern, Hershey, Florence married to Theodore Freedman, Lancaster, Rose Marie wife of the late James Bradley, Ephrata. She was preceded in death by: brothers, Paul and Francis Mattern; and a sister, Mary Smith.
Funeral services: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, Apr. 18, 2018 at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA with viewing from 10:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Interment: Bareville Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are welcomed to one's favorite charity or church.
