Abner E. Fisher, 53, of 2054 Spring Hollow Rd., Strasburg, passed away at home on Tuesday, November 21, 2023. Born in Strasburg, he was the son of Jacob J. husband of Rachel Blank Fisher and the late Barbara Esh Fisher. He was the husband of Bena Glick Fisher. Abner was a retired farmer and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
Also surviving are: nine children, Jacob husband of Naomi Glick Fisher, Elizabethtown, David husband of Katie Fisher Fisher, Lancaster, Christ husband of Sallie Stoltzfoos Fisher, Strasburg, Fannie wife of Elam Stoltzfus, Oxford, John husband of Barbie King Fisher, Willow Street, Barbie wife of Levi Stoltzfus, Kirkwood, Abner Jr., Joseph and Benuel Fisher, all at home; 18 grandchildren; nine siblings, Sarah wife of John Stoltzfus, Marshall, IN, John husband of Annie Esh Fisher, Montezuma, IN, Malinda wife of Menno Beiler, Trenton, KY, Annie wife of John Esh, Quarryville, Mary wife of Samuel Stoltzfus, Peach Bottom, Jacob husband of Barbara Glick Fisher, Quarryville, Rebecca wife of Amos Stoltzfus, Bird-in-Hand, Barbara wife of Elam Stoltzfus, Conestoga, Susie wife of Samuel Esh, Airville; sister-in-law, Fannie wife of Samuel Fisher, Ronks; step-brother, Joseph husband of Lydia Fisher Lapp, Kirkwood; step-sisters, Mattie wife of Ben Fisher, Paradise, Barbara wife of Christ Esh, Airville. He was preceded in death by: his mother, Barbara Esh Fisher; a brother, Isaac Fisher.
