Alvin M. Lapp, 87, of 5471 Buena Vista Rd., Gap, passed away at home on Monday, November 13, 2023. Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Samuel and Lizzie Stoltzfus Lapp. He was the husband of Fannie Stoltzfus Lapp. They shared almost 64 years of marriage. Alvin was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: 6 children, John married to Verna Zook Lapp, Gap, Kathryn married to David Allgyer, Mill Hall, Rachel married to J. Leon Stoltzfus, Narvon, Samuel married to Lena King Lapp, Lancaster, Elizabeth married to Wilmer Stoltzfus, Lititz, Barbie married to Andrew Stoltzfus, Gap; 35 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; 7 brothers, John married to Barbie Lapp, Gordonville, David married to Lydia Lapp, Kinzers, Daniel married to Sylvia Lapp, Mill Hall, Jacob married to Savilla Lapp, Ronks, Reuben married to Anna Lapp, Strasburg, Henry married to Barbie Lapp, Loysville, Amos married to Sadie Lapp, Leola; 3 sisters, Sarah wife of the late Daniel Stoltzfus and Amos Stoltzfus, Ovid, NY, Sylvia married to Roy Fisher, Quarryville, Priscilla married to Daniel Kauffman, Honey Brook; brother-in-law, Benuel Esh, Peach Bottom. He was preceded in death by: 2 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Anna King, Mattie Lapp, Salome Esch Esh, Rachel Zook Stoltzfus.
Funeral services will be from the John Lapp residence, 5459 Buena Vista Rd., Gap, on Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at 12 noon with interment following in Millwood Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
