Alvin Y. Petersheim, 16, of 71 Iva Rd., Paradise, passed away Monday, Sept. 14, 2026 from injuries sustained in a farming accident. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Melvin S. and Hannah (Yoder) Petersheim. A farming and lumber yard laborer, Alvin attended the Old Order Amish Church.
Surviving in addition to his parents are: 6 siblings, Joas Daniel, Priscilla, Mervin, Linda, Eli and Melvin Jr. Petersheim, all at home; paternal grandparents, Amos and Priscilla (Stoltzfus) Petersheim, Gordonville; maternal grandmother, Lena (Riehl) Yoder, wife of the late Henry Yoder, Kirkwood; paternal great-grandparents, Ben and Naomi Stoltzfus, Leola.
Funeral services will be held from the late home on Thursday, Sept. 17, 2026 at 9 am EST with interment following in Gordonville Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
