Amanda May Snyder, 87, of Leola was carried by Angels to her home in Heaven on Friday, Sept. 5, 2014. She was the loving wife of the late Victor A. Snyder Jr. who died in 1984. Born in Lebanon, she was the daughter of the late Augustus H. Beck Sr. and Joycie R. Wilt Beck.
A homemaker, she enjoyed needlepoint crafts and especially loved time with her family. Mrs. Snyder was a member of the Leola United Methodist Church for 60 years and also sang in the choir.
She will be lovingly missed by: her daughter, Rita Snyder Waltz, Leola; her sons, Randolph Snyder, Lancaster, Richard married to Betty Snyder, Red Lion, Roy married to Sue Snyder, Jonestown; daughter-in-law, Ellen Snyder, Lancaster; eight grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brothers, Edwin married to Faye Beck, Colorado, Augustus H. Beck Jr., Hershey. A son, Russell Lee Snyder preceded her in death.
The funeral will be Wednesday, Sept. 10, 2014 at 11 a.m. at Leola United Methodist Church, 7 W. Main St., Leola. Interment: Grand View Memorial Park, Annville. Viewing: 10-11 a.m. Wednesday at the church.
