     Amanda Smoker Beiler, 92, formerly of New Holland passed away on July 3, 2014 at ManorCare, 100 Abbeyville Road, Lancaster where she resided for the past 5 years.  Born in Atglen, Chester County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Salome Smoker.

     Amanda was a member of Ridgeview Mennonite Church in Gordonville.  A beloved Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother, she was lovingly “Memaw" to her family and will be dearly missed.  Amanda is survived by her children, Ruth Bull of Grand Junction, CO, Fern Smith of Leola, Virgil Beiler of Mill Port, Shirley Habalar of New Holland, Carmen Martin of Lititz and Karen Miller of Greenfield, WI; brothers, Daniel Smoker of Atglen and Nevin Smoker of Parkesburg; sisters, Miriam Brendle of Strasburg and Reba Hershey of New Holland; 5 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by 3 sisters, Elsie Wingard, Marie Yoder and Lena Hollinger; 4 brothers, Norman Smoker, Lloyd Smoker, Marcus Smoker, Lee Smoker and 2 grandchildren.

     Amanda was employed by SLC, Blue Ball for 30 years and retired in 1988.  A talented seamstress, she stayed active doing alterations for family and friends after retirement.  She enjoyed birthday celebrations with her sisters, making good memories with her family, grandchildren and friends, and would never miss a shopping trip with her daughters.

     Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to a memorial service at Ridgeview Mennonite Church, 3723 Ridge Road, Gordonville, PA 17529 on Thursday, July 10 at 2:00.  Friends may call at the church prior to the service at 1:00.  Interment will be private and on a later date at Ridgeview Mennonite Church Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ridgeview Mennonite Church at the above address.
