Austin Michael Malark

5/17/2013

Austin Michael Malark, 1, of 1626 Princess Anne Dr., Lancaster, entered into rest unexpectedly on Friday, May 17, 2013. He was the beloved son of Darin D. and Amy J. Bettels Malark. Austin wasn’t with us long enough, but in his short time on this earth he touched many hearts even of those that he hadn’t met. Austin was full of life, adventurous, fun loving and very ornery. Austin loved the outdoors; he loved food, climbing and hearing himself talk. Austin was always happy; he was the most generous and caring soul. It is with a heavy heart that we won’t see him grow into the wonderful, caring young man that he would have become. We will all miss his big smile and loving personality. He will be lovingly missed by his parents; his brother, Cody; his sister, Marissa; paternal grandparents, Harry and Marie Malark, Karla Malark; maternal grandparents, Carl and Theresa Bettels; paternal great-grandparents, Harry and Florence Malark, Kenneth and Emelda Bush, Mary Snyder; maternal great-grandparents, Willard and Maureen Bettels, Margaret Rierson; aunts and uncles, Jennifer and Matt White, Joanne Schafer, Amanda and John Frye, Michael Bettels, Lisa Bettels, Brandy Bettels, Renee Malark, Jessica Malark, Mary Malark; and other extended family. The funeral will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday at the Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA 17540. The viewing will be Wednesday from 6:00-7:30 p.m. and 10:00-11:00 a.m. Thursday, all at Furman’s. Interment: Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Contributions to Furman Home for Funerals to defray funeral expenses would be greatly appreciated by the family. FurmanFuneralHome.com
