Bernice I. Flaud, 93, of 66 Meadow Lane, Smoketown, formerly of New Holland, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 2, 2013. She was the loving wife of the late Amos K. Flaud who died in 2011 and the late Harry Devine. Born in Ephrata, she was the daughter of the late Howard and Eva Hamlin Messner. Mrs. Flaud was a floor supervisor at Fleet Air Shoe Company in Ephrata and also worked in the Mail Order Department of Sperry New Holland. She enjoyed shopping, cooking, collecting angels, watching the QVC Channel and spending time with family. She was a member of the Faith Evangelical Congregational Church, Lancaster. She will be lovingly missed by: her daughter, Patricia wife of J. Ronald Braas, Smoketown; four grandchildren, Jeff (Jen), Jennifer (Doug), Lon David Jr., Michael (Annie); three greatgrandchildren, Natalie, Megan and Caroline. She was preceded in death by: a son, Lon David Flaud; two sisters, Betty Stoltzfus, Isabel Corl; three brothers, Howard Messner, Jr., Robert Messner, Richard Messner. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, January 5, 2013 from the Faith Evangelical Congregational Church, 2124 Old Philadelphia Pike, Lancaster, PA 17602. Interment: Memory Gardens, Ephrata.
