Betty Jane Buckwalter, 93, passed away May 20, 2013 at her home in Brethren Village. She was the daughter of the late Sylvester and Sadie Nolt, and the wife of Richard Buckwalter — they celebrated their 70th Anniversary last July. After earning her RN in ’42, she continued nursing at Lancaster General Hospital and in private practice. Betty was a lifetime member of the Conestoga Church of the Brethren, a children’s Sunday School teacher and a Stephen Minister. Besides her husband, she is survived by a son, Dennis and two brothers James Nolt, husband of Jackie, Donald Nolt, husband of Esther, and a sister, Shirley, wife of Harold Bomberger, and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by son, Richard Owen, daughter, Karen Graham and sister, Jean Mull. A funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. (Viewing at 9:30) Saturday, May 25, 2013, at Conestoga Church of the Brethren, 141 E. Main St., Leola, PA.
