Betty “Jane” Muckey Armstrong, 78, of Lancaster, entered the presence of Jesus her Savior and Lord on Tuesday, July 9, 2013 at Manor Care Health, Lancaster. Born in Odebolt, Sac County, Iowa, she was the daughter of the late Errol Orlando & Clara Elsie (Epperson) Muckey.
 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul David Armstrong in 2010.

In addition to being a loving mother, Jane was a homemaker who enjoyed helping anyone in need, whether it be a family member, friend or a stray soul. She enjoyed cooking, baking, reading, quilting, music, playing drums, piano & singing. She had a wide variety of jobs throughout her lifetime.
 

She will be lovingly missed by her five children: Thomas E., husband of Janice, of Marietta, Suealyce G., wife of Robert B. Kutz, of Lancaster, P. David II, husband of Maribella, of Leola, Daniel D., husband of Sally, of Lampeter and Matthew “Max” of New Providence as well as 21 grandchildren & 11 great-grandchildren; three siblings, Kendall Muckey of Alaska, Mary Wilson of Iowa &Thomas Muckey of Arizona. She was preceded in death by three siblings, Max and Jack Muckey and Marjorie Moore.

Early in life she taught Sunday school & played the piano. She helped lead youth groups & sang duets with her sister, Marjorie & her husband Paul.  Jane also accompanied her children on piano as they sang locally & nationally. She was a member of New Life Assembly of God, Lancaster.

A time of meet and greet will be held Saturday, July 27, 2013 at 9:30am. Memorial service will be at 10:00am at New Life Assembly of God, 1991 Old Philadelphia Pk., Lancaster 17601. Pastors Moses Baker & Chris Foster will officiate. Internment will be private.
