Carl L. Ewing, 88, formerly of Silver Spring, passed away Sunday, April 22, 2018 at Moravian Manor. Born in Smoketown, he was the son of the late Paul and Lillian McGallicher Ewing.
Carl served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War. He worked in the Rotogravure Department of Armstrong World Industries. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an original member of Fishing Creek Camp.
Surviving are: a son, Michael husband of Dawn Ewing, Lancaster; a daughter, Mary wife of D. Brett Wauls, Landisville; three grandchildren, Ashlie Ewing, Ethan and Sarah Wauls. He was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Ewing.
Funeral services will be held from the Furman Home for Funerals 59 W. Main St., Leola, on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at 11 am with interment following in the Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Cemetery. Friends may call from 10 to 11 at the funeral home on Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Moravian Manor, 300 W. Lemon St., Lititz, PA 17543.
