     Charles E. “Charlie" Imboden, 86 of Denver, PA formerly of Leola, died July 10, 2018 surrounded by his loving wife and daughters. Born in Harrisburg PA and raised in Shipoke, he was the son of the late Abraham and Mary Frances Imboden. He was the adoring husband of Arletta (McLaughlin) Imboden who was his high school sweetheart. They shared 62 years of marriage.

     Charlie was a 1950 graduate of John Harris High School in Harrisburg. He was drafted into the United States Army and served honorably as Sergeant at Fort Bragg, North Carolina. After his 2 year duty he went to Elizabethtown College and graduated in 1959 with a degree in Business Administration. He was recruited by Ford Motor Company as a field representative in New Jersey. In 1969 he accepted a general manager position with B.Z. Mellinger Ford, New Holland, PA.  After retirement, he owned and operated Elanco Auto Body also in New Holland.

     He was a member and President of The Lincoln Zephyr Owners Club.  An avid car collector, he collected many cars throughout his life and was so proud of his prize winning 1941 Custom Lincoln Limousine.

     As a former athlete, he was also proud to be a part of the Harrisburg men's softball league sponsored by MONY Insurance until he was 75. The team won many championships.

     In addition to his wife, he is survived by two daughters Diane married to Gary Morris Lansdale, PA & Linda married to Robert Corcoran, West Chester, PA; and 5 grandchildren who were the apples of his eye; Mary Morris, Los Angeles, CA; Jack Morris, Chicago, IL; Sarah Morris, Ithaca, NY; and Patrick & Thomas Corcoran of West Chester, PA. He was preceded in death by his son Charles S. “Chuck" Imboden, a sister Mary Frances Schumacher and a brother Gerald L. Imboden.

      A time of remembrance will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, July 14, 2018 at Furman Home for Funerals 59 W. Main St, Leola, PA. The family will greet friends from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Charlie’s memory to: Parkinson’s Foundation, 200 SE 1st St., Suite 800, Miami, FL 33131.
