Christian H. “Nip" Moyer, 75, of Sun City, FL, formerly of Washington, DC and Reading, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2014. Born in Reading, PA, he was the son of the late Christian H. and Mae Margaret Moyer.
He retired at the rank of Senior Chief, after serving 24 years in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed boating, fishing and playing the organ.
Surviving are: four sons, David Moyer, Leola, Terry (Lori) Moyer, Denver, PA, Mike Moyer, Manheim, PA, Alan (Irene) Moyer, Jarrettsville, MD; four grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one sister, Carol wife of Bob Murler, of Oil City, PA. He was preceded in death by a brother, Leroy Moyer.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 19, 2014 at 11:00 AM at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main Street, Leola, PA 17540.
