Cloyd N. Wenger, 87, of Landis Homes and formerly of Lampeter, died January 26, 2013, at his residence. Born in Brownstown, he was the son of the late Frank and Minnie Benner Wenger. He was the husband of the late Naomi Hess Wenger who died in 2005. Cloyd was a farmer, a self employed auctioneer, and worked as a meat inspector for the USDA. He was a member of the Valley Lea Riding Club, the Circle T Riding Club, the Twin Pines Hunting Club, the Lampeter Fire Co. and the West Lampeter Fair Organization. He enjoyed his cottage in Perry County and attended the Lampeter United Methodist Church. He is survived by four children, Ronald husband of Mary Lou Wenger of Duncannon, Frank Wenger fiancé of Anne Conant of Landisville, Sandra wife of E. Roy Kreider of Kinzer, Suzanne wife of Ronald Krause of Manheim; 10 grandchildren; 16 greatgrandchildren; one greatgreat- granddaughter; sisters, Naomi Nolt of Mount Joy, Evelyn Landis of Milton. He was preceded in death by a great-grandson, Randon Kylar, sister, Mabel Moyer and a brother, Lester Wenger. The funeral will be held Tuesday, January 29, 2013 at Groffdale Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola, PA at 11:00 AM. Friends may call Tuesday, 9:30-11:00 AM at the church. Interment will be in the adjacent cemetery.
