Dallas Lee Miller, 22, of 400 Sollenberger Road, New Holland, PA passed away unexpectedly from earth to heaven on Tuesday, February 19, 2013 of injuries sustained in a car accident while traveling back to school. He graduated from Pequea Valley High School in 2009, where he was active in the music and theater departments and sang in Chamber Singers. He also played baseball, soccer, and hockey for the Pequea Valley Braves. Dallas was a senior at Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) and majored in sports administration with a minor in business. He was involved in the Sports Administration Club with fundraising and organization and was the Spirit Squad leader for men’s and women’s basketball. His internship at Kovalchick Convention and Athletic Complex led him to be hired as an event staff supervisor and lead student supervisor. Dallas’ passion for hockey started at a young age at Salisbury Township Park in the STYHL Inline League. He later played for Pequea Valley’s ice hockey team and was currently playing in the IUP Inline Hockey Club. Dallas had an infectious personality and his zest for life showed in everything he did. He enjoyed vacationing with his family and cousins at the beach and the mountains. He loved playing with his dog, Kylie, spending time with his friends, and with his girlfriend, Katy Jackson. He attended Gap Community Church in Gap, PA. He will lovingly be missed by his parents, Leonard and Martha Miller, and his siblings, Stephanie (Miller), wife of David Rowe of Parkesburg, Cody Miller and Dustin Miller still at home; maternal grandparents, Jacob and Edna Smucker of New Holland; and loving uncles, aunts and cousins. He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Enos and Miriam Miller. The Memorial Service will be on Sunday, Feb. 24, 2013 at 4 p.m. at Petra Christian Fellowship, 565 Airport Rd., New Holland, PA. There will be a visitation and greeting time with family from 2-4 p.m. & 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013 at Petra Christian Fellowship. The family will also greet friends immediately after the memorial service on Sunday. Burial in Ridgeview Mennonite Cemetery will be private at the convenience of the family.
