Daniel E. Lapp, 88, of 1250 Penn Grant Rd., Lancaster, passed away Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his home. Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Amos S. and Barbara Stoltzfus Lapp. He was the husband of Lydia King Lapp and celebrated 66 years of marriage last November. A dairy farmer, Daniel was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: 10 children, Sadie wife of Christian Esh and the late Abram F. Stoltzfus, Lancaster, Amos married to Elizabeth Lapp Lapp, Oxford, Benuel married to Sarah Blank Lapp, Lincoln University, Mary married to Eli B. Fisher, Christiana, Daniel E. Jr., married to Sadie Glick Lapp, Quarryville, David married to Sara Ann Zook Lapp, Willow Street, Samuel married to Barbara King Lapp, Lancaster, Jonas married to Lizzie King Lapp, Oxford, Barbara married to Levi E. Zook, New Holland, Linda married to Daniel J. Stoltzfus, Orrstown; 53 grandchildren; 133 great-grandchildren; a brother, Benuel married to Katie Lapp, Willow Street; sisters, Mary wife of the late Amos Zook, Strasburg, Sylvia married to Levi King, Annie married to the late David King, Barbara married to Melvin Stoltzfus, all of Lititz, Linda married to Jonathan Esh, Nottingham, Emma married to Elam Fisher, Ronks, Miriam married to Abner Zook, Leola; sister-in-law, Emma Lapp, Strasburg.
He was preceded in death by: a son, Elmer Lapp; 2 grandsons; a great-grandson; sister, Sarah Fisher; brothers, John and Amos Lapp.
Funeral services will be held from the late home on Thursday, May 2, 2024 at 9 am EST with interment following in Bunker Hill Cemetery. The viewing will be at the late home from the time of this notice till the service.
