Daniel S. Dienner, 89 of 446 School Lane Rd., Gap, passed away on Wednesday, Feb. 7, 2018 at home. He was the husband of Susie S. Smucker Dienner. They shared 68 years of marriage. Born in Salisbury Twp., he was the son of the late Gideon S. and Sarah L. Stoltzfus Dienner. A member of the Old Order Amish Church and minister for 50 years, Mr. Dienner was a farmer and quilt maker.
Also surviving are: four sons and five daughters, Eli married to Rachel Stoltzfus Dienner, Lydiann married to the late Sam Fisher, both of Parkesburg, Nancy married to Benuel S. King, Naomi married to Christ K. Fisher, both of Paradise, Sarah married to David S. King, Daniel married to Anna Stoltzfus Dienner, Susie married to Daniel Z. Beiler, Emanuel married to Katie Ann Beiler Dienner, all of Gap, Jacob married to Martha Smoker Dienner, Gordonville; 61 grandchildren; 186 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; brother, Jacob married to Ada Dienner, Gordonville; sisters, Sarah married to Samuel Lapp, Leola, Nancy married to the late John K. Stoltzfus; brother-in-law, Elam (the late Mary) Beiler; sister-in-law, Rebecca (the late Gideon) Dienner. He was preceded in death by: five brothers, John, Andrew, Isaac, Abraham and Gideon; four sisters, Leah, Barbara, Susie and Mary; three grandsons; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Friday, Feb. 9, 2018 at 11 a.m. from the Jesse Smucker residence, 5498 Buena Vista Rd., Gap. Interment: Millwood Cemetery. Viewing: at the Daniel Dienner Jr. residence, 448 School Lane Rd., Gap till the time of service. Kindly omit flowers.
