David B. Flaud, 94, of 83 Rock Rd., Honey Brook, went home peacefully to be with Jesus in his sleep on Saturday, June 21, 2014. He was the husband of Lena Riehl Flaud. They were married on Dec. 7, 1946. Born in Bird-in-Hand, he was the son of the late Jacob and Sarah Beiler Flaud. A retired self-employed carpenter, Mr. Flaud was a member of the Pequea Amish-Mennonite Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by: children, Nancy married to Lester Coblentz, Millersburg, OH, Alvin married to Ruth Lapp Flaud, Omer married to Nancy Glick Flaud, both Honey Brook, Sara Ann married to Melvin Stoltzfus, Myerstown, PA; daughter-in-law, Mary Ann Flaud, Denver; 21 grandchildren; 59 great-grandchildren; brothers, Emanuel married to Barbara Flaud, Bird-in-Hand, Jacob married to Sally Flaud, Newburg. A son, Jacob; a stillborn daughter; a grandson, Jay Omer; and a brother, Amos preceded him in death.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, June 24, 2014 at Pequea Amish-Mennonite Church, 115 Blank Rd., Narvon with viewings there from 9-10 a.m. Tuesday and on Monday evening from 5-8 p.m. Kindly omit flowers. Interment: Millwood Cemetery.
