David L. Fisher, 85, of 684 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, passed away on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at home. Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Gideon and Hannah (Stoltzfus) Fisher. He was married to Ruth Stoltzfus Fisher. A member of the Old Order Amish Church, David worked as a carriage maker.
He is also survived by: four daughters, Kathryn married to Jonas King of New Providence, Betsie married to John Fisher of Strasburg, Hannah married to Daniel Lantz of Loysville, Suzanne married to Samuel Fisher of Blain; two sons, John married to Barbie King Fisher of Atglen, Gideon married to Anna Ebersol Fisher of New Holland; son-in-law, Benuel married to Leah Zook King; 49 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; 4 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Emma married to Christ Stoltzfus of Newmanstown, Sarah married to Christ Stoltzfus of Richland; two brothers, Gideon married to Arie Peachy Fisher of Myerstown, Elmer married to Lydia Kauffman Fisher of Orrstown. He was preceded in death by: a daughter, Naomi King; a grandson, Jacob Eldon; granddaughter, Katie Mae; brother, Amos Fisher; sister, Katie Stoltzfus; and a stillborn brother.
Funeral services: Friday, June 1, 2018 at 9:00 a.m. EST at the Gideon Fisher home, 686 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland. Viewing: at the late home till the service. Burial: Dry Hill Cemetery.
