Donald “Short" Price, 79, of Brownstown, died peacefully at home on October 14, 2013, with his loving family by his side. Born in Columbia, he was the son of the late David and Violet Price. Donald was the loving husband of Shirley Bayman Price for 62 years.
He retired from High Steel in 1999. He was an avid gardener and a lifetime member of Reilly Raiders. He enjoyed bible study. Don and Shirley traveled to Ireland, England, Bahamas and throughout the United States.
He is survived by nine children, Donald G. husband of Faye Fisher Price, David G. husband of Sue Stanton Price, Rick L. husband of the late Linda Mellinger Price, Barbara A. Price, Brenda L. wife of Mike Klugh, Sharon L. wife of Curtis Leonard, Judith A. wife of Jeff Bennett, James A. Husband of Maria Prado Price, Sandy J. Price; 20 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son Johnny A. Price.
The funeral service will be held Thursday, October 17, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St., Leola, PA. Friends may call Thursday, 10-11:00 AM at the funeral home. Interment will be in Memory Gardens.
