Donavan Michael Herr, 25 of Brownstown, Pa., passed away unexpectedly on October 29th, 2016. He was the son of Stephannie Ernest, Mount Joy, Pa. and Albert Herr Jr. of Akron, Pa. He is survived by a son, Lucas Herr, Ephrata, a sister, Lyndsey Herr, Mount Joy, Alexis Herr niece, Mount Joy.
Donavan was a concrete finisher by trade. Donavan was an avid body builder and swore one day he’d be as big as his grandfather. He was known for saying “welcome to the gun show!” He always had an ear to lend if you needed it. He was always in tune with what others needed, and would give the shirt off his back even if he didn’t have one. He adored his son immensely; they were the best gaming buddies ever! His charismatic personality seemed to draw in everybody, and his sense of humor kept you laughing. He will truly be missed by all who knew him.
Friends and relatives may call at Furman Home for Funerals, 59 W. Main St. Leola, Pa. on Saturday November 5, 2016 from 10am to 11am. Funeral service at 11am. Interment will follow at Schaefferstown Cemetery, 108 Church Street Schaefferstown, Pa. at 12:30pm. Everyone is welcome to join the family at Piero’s Italian restaurant, 363 South 7th Street, Route 272 Akron, Pa. at 2pm to share their fondest memories of Donavan.
