Dorothy Fowler Jones, 82, of Lancaster, formerly of Florida and Pine View, PA, passed away peacefully on Aug. 20, 2026. Born in Kingston, PA, she was the daughter of the late Ferdinand Samuel Fowler and Mary M. Smith Fowler. She was the wife of the late Dale Whitman Jones who died in 2014. Mrs. Jones was a secretary for various firms over the years. A member of the Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church, she also was a past member of the Methodist Women’s Group.
She is survived by: a sister, Mary Lou Dunn, Chester Springs, PA; nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two siblings, Bonnie Komski and Ferdinand Samuel Fowler Jr.
The Memorial Service will be at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 3, 2026 from the Bird-in-Hand United Methodist Church, 2620 Old Philadelphia Pike, Bird-in-Hand, PA. The family will greet friends from 10:45 a.m. – 11 a.m. Interment: the adjoining cemetery.
