Dorothy M. Bomberger, 84, of Leola, entered her heavenly home on Friday, June 3, 2016 after a brief illness. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Clara (Siegrist) Landis. She was the loving wife of Harold E. Bomberger who died in 2014.
Mrs. Bomberger served as secretary for Bomberger Brothers, a family-owned landscaping business. She served for 25 years volunteering in the LGH Gift Shop and served on the Ladies Auxiliary of the Leacock Fire Co.
She was a member of Grace Family Church, serving in various areas. She was a former member of Jerusalem Lutheran Church, handling secretarial responsibilities and hospitality ministries. She enjoyed sewing, reading, gardening and family.
She will be lovingly remembered by three daughters: Debra J. wife of Daniel Scheuerlein, Leola; Cynthia A. wife of Henry Johnson, Williamsport; Karen S. wife of Otto Lubrich Jr., Cherry Hill, NJ; a son, Randall L. husband of Lisa Petticoffer Bomberger, Glen Burnie, MD; 13 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; four sisters: Joan (Landis) wife of Sterling Hostetter, Lititz; Jean (Landis) wife of the late Glenn Nelson, Mount Joy; Connie (Landis) husband of Fran Wida, Akron; Ginny (Landis) wife of Bob Wright, Mukilteo, WA; a brother, Donald husband of Hazel Landis, Manheim.
A Greeting Time with family will be at 9:00 a.m. followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 9, 2016, at Garden Spot Village Chapel, 433 S. Kinzer Avenue, New Holland, PA 17557 with Dr. Henry Johnson officiating. Interment will be in Rothsville Lutheran cemetery.
