Dorothy S. Sindall, 89, of Willow Valley Retirement Community, died peacefully on Wednesday, May 20, 2015. Born in Wilmot Township, Ontario, Canada, she was the daughter of the late Percy and Olive Kalbfleisch Weicker. Her husband, Donald M. Sindall died in February 1997. She was a member of Ranck's United Methodist Church and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, who dedicated her life to her family. She passed along her strength of character and quiet faith to everyone she met. She and her husband were the founders of Sindall Transport, Inc., New Holland, which they founded in New Hamburg, Ontario. Dorothy was an avid reader and she loved traveling with her husband across the country in their RV. They also enjoyed many years in the sunshine in Estero, Florida. Their love of Florida lives on in their sons.
Dorothy is survived by four sons, Robert M. husband of Deborah L. Sindall, Douglas M. Sindall, all of New Holland, Donald G. husband of Kimberly M. Sindall of Lititz and Stephen J. husband of Sandra L. Sindall of New Holland, ten grandchildren (Jason, Stephanie, Melissa, Jennifer, Damon, Kerri, Lauren, Christine, Morgan and Austin), fourteen great-grandchildren and one sister, Joanne wife of Peter Davis of Fergus, Ontario, Canada. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Howard and Ken Weicker.
The memorial service will be held, Saturday, May 30, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Ranck's United Methodist Church, 700 Ranck Rd., New Holland, Pa 17557. Friends may call Saturday from 10-11:00 AM at the church. The interment will be private.
