E. Mae Shreiner, 96, resident of Ephrata Manor, peacefully went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2026. She was the loving wife of the late Phares L. Shreiner, who died in 2010. She was the daughter of the late Stephen H. and Sadie (Kurtz) Stoltzfus.
Mae was employed in various market and retail jobs. She was a volunteer and manager of the New Holland ReUzit Shop for many years and was active in the Groffdale Church Sewing Circle. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting and made a quilt and afghan for each of her children and grandchildren. She was an avid reader and enjoyed bird watching.
She will be lovingly missed by her children, June married to Sanford Gehman, Lancaster, Larry married to Charlene Smoker Shreiner, Leola, Diane married to Clete Weaver, Ephrata; five grandchildren, Roger Gehman, Sheila (Scott) Newcomer, Jennifer (KC) Marzinko, Renee Skiles, Andrea (Nate) Reiser; eight great-grandchildren, Travis, Spencer, Campbell, Parker, Brianna, Brady, Kylie, Aaron. She was preceded in death by four brothers, Emery, Clarence, Leroy, and Ralph.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, Feb. 10, 2026 at 10:30am at the Groffdale (Brick) Mennonite Church, 168 N. Groffdale Rd., Leola. The family will visit with friends following the service.
