Edward Charles Gebhart, 70, of Bird-in-Hand, formerly of Little Falls, NJ, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, January 3, 2014 at home. Born in Kearny, NJ, he was the son of the late Charles Nicholas and Margaret May Landells Gebhart. He was the husband of Kathleen Sinnig Gebhart.
Edward was a truck driver, and was a union organizer at Howmett Company. He enjoyed football, motorcycling, reading and writing short stories. He served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, Leola.
Also surviving: children, Charles, Elizabeth married to Christopher Ragavanis, Ward and Nicholas; two grandchildren; sisters, Carol wife of the late Anthony Fusco, Kathleen married to Dominick Restuccia, Patricia Gebhart, Susan married to Walter Yaworsky. A brother, Charles Edward Gebhart preceded him in death.
Memorial Service: Sunday, March 30, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Zion Lutheran Church, 18 Quarry Rd., Leola, PA 17540. Greeting time: after the service at Kathleen's home.
