Edward Warren Spotts, 95, of Ephrata Manor, formerly of Leola, passed peacefully on Sunday, Feb. 17, 2019. Born in Salisbury Twp., he was the son of the late Alfred and Bertha Parmer Spotts. He was the loving husband of the late June Lausch Spotts who died last April. They had celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.
Ed served in the U. S. Navy as a mechanic on a landing craft in the Pacific Theater during WWII. He worked as an assembler at the former Sperry New Holland, retiring after 40 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and had been a member of the Pleasant View Hunting Club in Clinton Co. He also enjoyed watching the birds and squirrels that he fed. He loved spending time with his granddaughter.
He will be lovingly missed by: two daughters, Lorraine F. “Snip” Allison, Lancaster, JoBeth married to Anthony L. Jarrett, Bowmansville; a granddaughter, Erin S. Duffy. He was the last of his immediate family.
Funeral Services: Saturday, Feb. 23, 2019 at 2 pm at Ephrata Manor, 99 Bethany Rd., Ephrata PA 17522 with viewing from 1 to 2 pm. Interment: 11 am Monday, Feb. 25, 2018 in Zeltenreich’s Cemetery, New Holland. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are welcomed to Ephrata Manor.
