Elam S. Zook, 85, of 8 Green Tree Rd., Quarryville, passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2026 in Sarasota, FL. Born in Gordonville, he was the son of the late Amos and Mary Smucker Zook. He was the husband of Ada B. King Zook and the late Lydia Fisher Zook who died in 1997. A retired shed builder, Elam was a member of the Old Order Amish Church.
In addition to his wife, he will be missed by: Solomon married Fannie Zook of Honey Brook, whom he considered adopted family; 2 brothers, Amos married to Katie Kauffman Beiler Zook, Gordonville, John S. Zook, Ronks; a sister, Sadie Zook Fisher, Quarryville; numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by brothers, Gideon, Jonathan, Abner, and Aaron Zook; sisters, Annie Fisher, Katie Glick, Sylvia Zook and Mary Stoltzfus.
Funeral services will be held from the Christian Stoltzfus residence, 10 Green Tree Rd., Quarryville on Monday, March 23, 2026 at 12 pm EST with interment will follow in Bart Cemetery, Georgetown. The viewing will be held at the late home starting Saturday evening till the service.
